Professor John D. Halamka of Harvard Medical School Invited as a Special Adviser

Acceleration of Business Creation and Development in the HealthTech Field

Dream Incubator Inc. (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Takayoshi Yamakawa; hereinafter “DI”) would like to take this opportunity to announce its recent welcoming of Professor John D. Halamka, of Harvard Medical School, as a special adviser.

Dr. Halamka serves on the faculty at Harvard Medical School as a professor in the field of international healthcare innovation and is globally active in the same field while also working as an emergency physician. Additionally, Dr. Halamka has assumed responsibility for innovation in the recently merged Beth Israel Lahey Health organization.

He served as CIO for the Beth Israel Deaconess Health System, a Harvard Medical School affiliate, for more than 20 years. He also spearheaded the design and implementation of the US government’s medical IT policy under the Bush and Obama administrations.

Here is the message from Dr. Halamka.

“I travel 400,000 miles per year, working on healthcare technology throughout the world. I believe that Japan will become a leading laboratory for digital health innovation, especially home care and wellness. I believe that India will be a leading laboratory for telemedicine and mobile technologies. DI is poised to bring together emerging companies with both of these laboratories, catalyzing new technology possibilities for the world. I look forward to working on these projects together.”

With Professor Halamka’s cooperation, DI will accelerate business creation and development in the HealthTech field, primarily in Japan, India and the United States.
