Senior Advisor

Takashi Shimada

  • Graduated from the Faculty of Engineering, the University of Tokyo, and joined the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (now the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry).
  • After serving as Director-General of the Minister’s Secretariat and Director-General of the Trade Policy Bureau of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, he was appointed Administrative Vice-Minister in 2017.
  • After retiring from public service, he became Outside Director of DI in 2021.
  • After serving as Executive Secretary to Prime Minister Fumio Kishida in 2021, he was reappointed Senior Advisor to DI in November 2024.
