Joined Nippon Steel Tube Corporation (now JFE Holdings, Inc.) in 1981. He has been a professor at the Graduate School of Business Breakthrough University since 2010, Dean of the School of Management since 2014, and Vice President since 2016 (current position). He was appointed as an outside director of EBARA Corporation in 2011 and also served as the chairman of the board of directors of EBARA Corporation for three years from March 2019.
