Koichi Ogawa

Completed a doctoral program in engineering at the Meiji University Graduate School; after joining Fujitsu Laboratories Limited, was appointed director of research and later transferred to the Fujitsu Business Division, where he served as division manager and director; in 2004, began research at The University of Tokyo into international standardization/business strategies and the competitiveness of Japanese corporations; since 2008, has served as a special professor, teaching endowed courses in intellectual property management at The University of Tokyo. Since 2011, had served as a Specially Appointed Researcher at the Manufacuturing Management Research Center, Graduate School of Economics, The University of Tokyo.After since April 2013,has served as a Senior Researcher, Policy Alternatives Research Institute,The University of Tokyo.

Has also served as the general manager of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry’s Industrial Structure Council and Information Economy Committee, as well as the chairman representative of the Cabinet Office’s International standardization Strategy Task Force Committee.
Is the author of Kokusai hyōjunka to jigyō senryaku (published by Hakuto-Shobo Publishing Company),
Architecture-based International Standardization and Innovation of Business Model (co-authored; received
second-place honors in the IEC 100th Anniversary Collection), and other works.
